About Sparkassen-Biathlonarena Altenberg
Located in the Zinnwalder Hofmannsloch between Altenberg and Zinnwald-Georgenfeld at about 790-870 m, the cradle of German biathlon since the 1950s (home of Frank-Peter Roetsch, Rico Groß and Michael Rösch). Shooting range and start/finish area rebuilt in 2004; hosts the IBU Cup, IBU Junior Cup, German Championships and the 2025 IBU Junior Open European Championships; a new performance centre opened in 2024.
