2. Summary
The app works without an account. It does not ask for your name, e-mail address, contacts, photos or precise location. The only data it sends to our server is what is needed to deliver the content you see, to send you the push notifications you switched on, and to keep the app running reliably.
3. Data the app sends to our server

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in providing and securing the app (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) and, for push notifications, your choice in the app settings (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, revocable at any time by switching notifications off).
4. Push notifications
Push notifications are delivered through Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). For this, the notification token of your device is transmitted to Google together with the notification content. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. You can disable notifications at any time in the app or in the system settings of your device; the token is then no longer used.
5. Sports data and news
Results, start lists, standings and calendar data are delivered from our own server, which retrieves them from biathlonresults.com. News headlines are delivered from our server and link to the websites of the respective publishers. When you open such a link, the publisher's website and privacy policy apply.
6. Advertising
The app may display advertising banners provided by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Ltd.). For this, Google processes the advertising ID of your device and technical information about the device and the ad shown. You can reset or limit the advertising ID in the settings of your device (Android: "Delete advertising ID"; iOS: "Allow Apps to Request to Track"). 7. Storage period
Installation data, notification preferences and ratings are kept for as long as the installation is active. When you uninstall the app, the push token becomes invalid and the remaining data is deleted after it has been inactive or on your request. Server logs are deleted automatically after a short period.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object. Because the app has no account, please send us the installation identifier shown in the app settings so that we can find your data. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg.
9. Children
The app is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
10. Changes
We update this policy when the app or the law changes. The current version is always available at biathlon.live/app-policy.html.
